Looking for some great ideas on how to pose your couples in a way that will give you natural, candid moments in photos? If you are struggling with this, I feel you!!! I literally used to use the same 5 poses over and over at sessions and it started to get SO boring…but it doesn’t have to be as difficult as it seems!!!
Here are 3 tips for getting beautiful photos :
1. Incorporate movement — keeping your couples moving rather than having static poses always makes the couple more comfortable and allows them to show more of their fun personality with each other!!
2. Give them reasons to show emotions — tell them jokes, play some tunes, have them talk to each other, etc. Doing this helps brings out raw and real emotion for your photos!
3. Get to know your couples before posing them — ask them questions and let them get comfortable with you! Find out each of their personalities so it helps you when posing them!!
Posing can be daunting, especially when you are mid-session and our mind goes completely blank. But it doesn’t have to be! Posing is one of my favorite things to talk about in my mentorship sessions. I give so much information on posing, prompts, letting your clients be natural, setting the scene, etc.
